Practical support for safer journeys.

Press reporters travel extensively to cover public events and developments across the district. Orange Army organised a Helmet Distribution Programme at the District Press Club, Kolar, on 18 September 2026, combining road-safety awareness with direct support for working journalists.

The people behind the programme

Sri M R Ravikumar, District Commissioner, Kolar District, attended as Chief Guest. K S Ganesh, President of the Kolar and Chikkaballapur Working Journalists’ Multipurpose Cooperative Society, presided alongside M Harish, President of Orange Army; Ravichethan, Secretary; and Madhu, Vice President. Press reporters and Orange Army volunteers participated in the programme.

The programme encouraged helmet use and safe riding practices among journalists and the wider community. Every journey carries a responsibility to return home safely.
